FUTURE IS TODAY is a Non Institutional endeavour to recognize talent, reward & network all Film making students from across the country with a global student community, irrespective of whether they represent a Media Institute or not. We propose to not only award students in Short fiction, animation & documentary Film making but also showcase their best work in the form of a National travelling Film Festival along with the best student films from across the world. The Travelling Film Festival shall also hold Workshops, Master Classes & Symposia for the participating students. There shall also be a special category for Films with a futuristic vision.

Many students from across the country asked for more time as they were finishing their projects & we decided on a final extension to accomodate everyone, keeping with the inclusive & egalitarian spirit of Future is Today.

Calling all students for the following:

Competition 1: The Future Awards:

The competition consists of three sections:

Student Documentary ((upto 30 minutes)
Student Short Fiction (upto 30 minutes)
Student Animation (upto 30 minutes)

 

Competition 2:

Dr. Satish. C. Seth Memorial award for Films with a Futuristic Vision:

Student Documentary (Max. Length 30 minutes)
Student Short Fiction (Max. Length 30 minutes)
Student Animation  (Max. Length 30 minutes)

 

Technical Awards:

Technical award for Best Script writing in:

Documentary
Short Fiction

Animation

Technical award for Best Cinematography in:

Documentary
Short Fiction

Technical award for Best Sound Design in:

Documentary
Short Fiction

Animation

Technical award for Best Editing in:

Documentary
Short Fiction

 

ELIGIBILITY AND RULES:

All films should be a production of currently enrolled students in Institutions (student affiliation should be specified in the application)

The films should have been completed in or after January 2014.
Films can be made in any Indian language but must have English subtitles.
All Films must be submitted via URL Link & not DVD for preview/ selection.
The entry form must be complete in all respects.
The submission fee per film for Competition 1 The Future Awards is Rupees Thousand only. The fee entitles you to be considered for a Technical Award (category of your choice) along with the best film award. If you want the Film to be considered for any other Technical Award you will have to pay an additional fee of Rupees 300 only.
Every Entry for Technical Award for Best Script writing must be accompanied by the soft copy of the Script.

The submission fee per film for Competition 2 that is the Dr. Satish. C. Seth Memorial award for Films with a Futuristic Vision is Rupees Five hundred only.

Once the film/script is submitted it can’t be withdrawn under any circumstances
however the Festival Director reserves the right to disqualify any film/script on
certain grounds.

Every entry must be accompanied by the following:

•Link to the film
• Synopsis
• Two photographs from film
• Director’s/ Technician’s bio-filmography
• Two copies of Director’s/ Technician’s photo
• Cheque or demand draft , Bank Transfer in the name of Drishya Movies Pvt. Ltd. Payable @ Mumbai

    What if we dont have a student id card anymore? I have graduated and the card has been submitted back to the college…?

  2. It is just what I used to be trying to find. It could be a complicated issue to figure out and that is finest, but when someone like you puts it with each other for us it makes items a good deal easier.
